What To Do in North Norfolk

Our lovely caravan park, situated in north Norfolk is just a few minutes stroll from Blakeney village, an ancient seaport with stunningly picturesque harbour and salt marshes; well known for its yachting centre and bird life nature reserves. It is at the heart of an area of coastline that has been designated as being of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Friary Farm Caravan Park is an ideal starting place for those who like walking, bird watching, discovering historic towns, picturesque villages and quiet country lanes. A truly tranquil setting for those who wish to retreat from the stresses of everyday life.

The 18th century Georgian town of Holt is ten minutes drive away and for lovers of antiques and brick-a-brack shops it is a paradise!

Close by there’s the Shrine at Walsingham visited by 100’s of pilgrims every year.

For a piece of Royal history then a visit to Blickling Estate, where Anne Boleyn once resided,  is a great day out. And of course to explore the estate our present Royal family often visits then Sandringham is a pleasant coastal journey around the North Norfolk coast.

Then there is the Victorian town of Cromer just 15 miles away with its’ award winning pier and end of pier theatre and not forgetting it is  famous for it’s crabs, and a few miles before that, the busier town of Sheringham, home of the North Norfolk Steam Railway.

Just an hours’ drive  away is the Norfolk capital city of Norwich with many historic buildings and areas including the Castle Museum, two Cathedrals and ancient market.
